"Signs of Spring in Carleton County"
Description:
"Signs of Spring" is a juried art exhibition which will open on May 29th (in conjunction with the annual Knowlesville Kite Festival) and will run until June 17th, 2011 at the Knowlesville Art & Nature Centre. The theme of the show will be the emergence of Spring in rural New Brunswick, and the ways in which this unfolding is felt, understood and interpreted by people in Carleton County. The jury will focus on works that present the changing of seasons from winter to Spring in unique and unexpected ways, and in ways that reveal elements of life that are particular to living in the Carleton County region.
Eligibility:
This call is open to everyone in Carleton County (from Debec to Bath), and is not restricted to arts professionals. Works in all media are welcome, including drawing, painting, photography and sculpture.
Submission Guidelines:
Please send photographs (digital photos) of up to 3 works to yolandeclark@mail.com. Photographs should be of a high caliber and quality, and should present the works accurately. Please include titles, dimensions, media, date, and a description of how each piece relates to our theme of the emergence of Spring. Also include your full name and contact information, including email.
Application Deadline: April 1st, 2011.
Artists will be notified of acceptance through email by April 16th, 2011.
Works due at the KAN centre by May 20th, 2011.
