Concert: Sandman Viper Command - Friday, March 4th, 7pm @ KAN
Tell the young people! Sandman Viper Command, an up-and coming band from Burlington Ontario, play an eccentric mix of lo-fi garage rock and 60s pop. They are on tour across Eastern Canada, they have a reputation for putting on a great live show, and they are playing the KAN centre! admission by donation.
Educating your Kids, Educating Yourself - Sun. March 6th, 3pm @ KAN
Join book-seller and experienced homeschooler Jean Reed in an evening discussion on finding resources and networks to help you on your path to homeschooling or self-education. Body Awareness with Pauliina, March 8th & March 22nd, (Tuesdays) 6:30-9pm, KAN centre $10
As a human being, the elements of our bodies are the same and intertwined to those of the Earth's. But during our busy lives and ingrained thought patterns, do we actually sense ourselves as living parts of our environment? Come join on an exploration to deeper awareness of both our bodies and their surroundings. Bring your will to observe, experience, and a curious body and mind. This class will help you gain tools for personal exploration. Bring comfy indoor clothing and warm bundle-ups for outdoors!
Winter Firecraft with Jeff Butler and Blacksmithing Open House, March 19th, 10-4 pm
This is an exciting day-long workshop during which participants will learn to become expert firecrafters! Learn the lifesaving art of starting a fire in the winter cold, as well as other wilderness essentials, and drop in on blacksmiths Dana Kittilsen and Owen Flewelling as they demonstrate their skills. This workshop will include a full organic lunch.
Nutrition Discussion Night - Wednesday, March 23rd, 7pm @ KAN
This month, Emily Hoyt will share ideas for and examples of homemade personal care products. Also an opportunity to participate in an open and friendly discussion about food and health. Held at the KAN centre meeting space.
Family Nature Walk & Community Potluck - Sunday, March. 27th @ 3pm
Learn about our natural environment, and join us for a community potluck. Call 391-6120 or email yolandeclark@mail.com for more info. Last Sunday of every month, 3pm @ KAN. $5 per family + craft fee (if applicable). Craft TBA.
SoapMaking with Sandra--Sunday, April 2, 10am-2pm
Learn from one of Woodstock’s foremost body care artisans, to make beautiful natural soaps from scratch, and healing salves as well. $40 per person. Everyone will leave the workshop with at least 3 soaps, and a pot of salve, as well as the knowledge to make it all at home.Delicious organic/local lunch included.

Coinciding with the Kite Festival on May 29th, the KAN centre will be presenting a juried Art exhibition called “Signs of Spring”. Calling all artists in the Carleton area to submit drawings, paintings and photographs that celebrate Signs of Spring in rural NB. Deadline Extended to April 1st.
